2016 Part 2

Garden Shop. June 2016

These pictures were actually taken at night, in the dark. The luminous energy of the flowers came through, in beautiful fresh auras and colors.

“Okay Alicia, let’s show them how its done.”

The brightest rainbow! …yesterday, on Canada Day. July 2nd 2016

More photographs done, using my cellphone, of a rainbow. This one was very bright, with all the colors. I was trying to capture clouds high in the picture, and getting the landscape line straight was hard. Be careful you don’t get seasick!

Happy Bastille Day. July 14th 2016

I made chocolate chip cookie dough and pasta rosée. My mom made shephard’s pie. Have a look.

Out and about; photo-gem finds. July 16th 2016

Let’s start you off with some pastèques

The landscape; the water, sky, clouds, and moon.

The wild roses; dusk photographs.

The pine; off to the purple heathers.

Portrait of my sister. September 6th, 2016

I painted this portrait of Stephanie “live”; she was sitting in a sofa-chair posing. It was part of my project, for a critique presentation, in my first year at Concordia in Fine Arts. When I was there; first of all it was for an undergraduate degree; second of all I worked very very hard and was very very good from the beginning because i had been an artist all my life; third of all I created a “forum” just from being a student; as in; everybody was upping the ante; or getting kicked out; or blatantly dropping out; AND, no more the official Concordia FAILED-INCOMPLETE undergraduate degree invented grade of “DOESN’T MAKE A DIFFERENCE” (D-)

**Congratulations to T. J. OSHIE for now becoming the 2nd student, other than his darling wife, to hold a B.F.A. from Concordia University.**

Pictures of some of my paintings. September 11th-13th 2016

These pictures are of a few pieces of mine from a previous time. I photographed the paintings, and my sign that I had used at trade shows, to show them, and I made photo art with them as well by placing them around the room.

This room, as seen in other photo features on my site, is actually the computer-room/office/spare bedroom at my mother’s house. (And apparently, the mad decorator lady has been through here like a tsunami…)

Beautiful Products. September 18th 2016

I took beautiful pictures of these beautiful products that inspire me (in/for life, for gifts, for pictures). I was a client of The Body Shop since I was little. They opened a shop right here in the west island, in Fairview mall, and with its adventurous name, I’m sure me and my father were some of the store’s first clients, at Christmas time. Normally a body shop refers to a business that does car “body” repairs. In french, a carrosserie. Over the years I have enjoyed many of The Body Shop’s products, and its a happy and nice place to go if you are at the mall. The interesting part of this story is that its actually owned by Eddie and his father. Now; I am going to say, to the ladies, that men can be a dangerous thing. Eddie is a talented artist, a business man; and his father as well. They were both deaf. Eddie had gone to the 2010 winter olympics, as a skier. Eddie and his father do art in the domain of “Fibres”, which I referred to before. They have 3 pieces on display at Stewart Hall now. Eddie also owned the store with the “ENCADREMENT” sign; and it was filled with his paintings. He sold it recently. He used to set up the Stewart Hall outdoor art show; always over Labor Day weekend; and would take paintings from the artists as funding for the huge framing expenses, choosing pieces. Like me, I’m sure he got really fed up of how there is no money in the art business. I had even seen him there, at the park, when I showed there years ago. I did not know all the details of the situation, or that it was even him. I did not recognize him. I just thought; “that dude is cute, he looks like Eddie a bit.” Ridiculous. And what I refer to as a ‘guardian’, “friend”; or ‘guardian angel’; or ‘partner’, could also mean a dark side; of demons, sensitivity, and the fantastical. Ready to challenge your faith? Then take on a man, lol. This includes them being a pest, doing funny things in their sleep, total misunderstandings and confusion between you, a strange partnership and connection, vivid dreams that you think are real, and in reality, being totally apart. Its very hard, and sad, and writing about it still makes me cry. You can understand now, the drawings… The Eddie Deck. I feel a little clarification here helps, since I am mentioning him as the owner of this nice store, The Body Shop. Its also wonderful to finally have the real story. I need that in life.

These masks retail at 25 000 $ a jar, but they are exquisite. I bought all five varieties for my Jade, among some other really nice items for him and me. Luckily through some connections, contacts, and my own efforts, I can get some things like this. I PAID IN FULL. Thank you to those who help and honor me in return.

Look!

J.T.`s stuff. October 6th 2016

J.T. is the country mountain man of police officers. He is also trained for emergency medical response. He is a very kind and hardworking man. I vacationed a lot at my grandparents’ ranch; and I also did hard work out there! He is from that beautiful country area. When J.T. is stuck at the cop station all day; when there is no trouble; and he goes every day devotedly in duty; he draws. He made a 3-inch-thick marvel comic book. He also makes beautiful pieces on distressed wood supports; with oil paint donations from the elderly locals. He builds the supports, and the style is beautifully country antique. The little sneak was around and after me a bit; he made lithographs of art in the tradition of the Surveyer home; and a funny portrait of his stand-up gal. Snuck into these photos is also a print by Georgia O’Keefe; “The Jack in the Pulpit”`.

Halloween figurines. October 13th 2016

These are figurines of a bride and groom in the spirit of Halloween. Really, they are art from Mexico; where “The Day of The Dead” is celebrated November 1st. As much as they look spooky – and are good for terrorizing small children , lol – they are actually painted with colorful flowers and detailing, which make them look happy and beautiful… as far as skeletons go…

These figurines are good examples of Mexican-tradition ‘Day of the Dead’ folk art. As a curator, I selected these. This means I think they are good. What fun to take them out every Halloween!

ORANGE-CHOCOLATE-CHERRY CANDY. October 14th 2016

Bzo was new and promising; and very good.

These look like orchids. Maybe a little bit different?
They look mad; or on the offense
I think they were reacting to me sitting near them.

Why would orchids react to a person? A plant reacts to the humidity it feels in the air, heat, air flow… I had been walking around the exposition at Les Jardins Botaniques, and at the end then sat on a bench in the foyer. (Where the orchid plant was.) It was February. I am very tall and sporty, and in the foyer there were the rushes of cold winter air from the doors, and the heating vents, so combine that with all my energy and I actually got the plant to physically move!

**IN CONSTRUCTION**. November 11th 2016

Let’s start with this.

In Canada, we have beautiful horses. Many are wild, or half-wild and kept. Our handsome breeds of horses are part of our heritage, ils font parti de la richesse de notre pays. We have Bays, Percherons, which are like bigger Bays, Shetland Ponies, some “plains horses”, and some drought horses like Belgians and Clydesdales. If you build a pen and add a water trough you might get some nice visitors wandering in…

Yes, Pristine is a Bay; but a big one; and CoraDora is a Shetland pony.

Horses are like pets – they do need daily care, shelter, warmth, and attention and love. Ask any good policeman – and now my Canadian Armed forces Servicemen are assigned as well – they know the involved care for horses, and are learning more under my guidance.

Now let’s get to these pictures…

Look at this smiley-silly… he’s definitely proud…

See? He’s a big proud guy!

He’s proud of his handiwork;
There is one of these in Quebec and in Ireland I believe…

This is the Quebec one.
This is an aerial view of the landscape where horses have been feeding, roaming, stomping, and even peeing and pooping, proclaiming their territory, and creating an artistic image.
These are made and maintained over time, I assume maybe two generations of horse families and groups. They are like cats! They love their land, love their homes, and like leaving their scratch marks….

Here is Scotty the spotty horse, a Bay.
We also have Appaloosa’s. That is when a donkey has been bred in. This is rare, but totally normal. In England, they have pedigrees and lines of horses, where donkeys have been bred in as well, and bred back out through generations. They are called Thoroughbreds.

These are a few more of my personal pictures with horses

Me, Alicia, and a Percheron I named Momma. There is a foal in the background, on the right, but I am not sure if it was her’s.
Percheron’s are police horses. Bays cannot support the weight of a rider over 200 pounds; its bad for their back. They can get a sunken back over time.

When a horse has his ears like this, it means he is mad. Watch out! Maybe I wasn’t feeding him grass fast enough, lol? Maybe my hair was too big and pouffy? Tee-hee. You can see Momma and a foal in the background in their pen.

This is George, the blonde Shetland Pony. I told him he stole my ‘do!

Beautiful products we like. December 26th 2016

These two stores used to be in the mall I go to here in suburbia… but they closed finally. Us fans are still searching for their products! Luckily, I met Adrian, captain of Italy’s Army, and he has been working on the stores’ products and exciting new lines. Adrian and his grandpa started coming to Canada when he was a boy, to come meet Santa Claus. They then made beautiful businesses here!

The websites are: www.fruits-passion.com and www.dansunjardin.com . The products are super high-standard, and I would recommend the baby line on the 2nd.

New Art: My Silk Pouch. September 14th 2016

I took a pen to a silk pouch and decorated it with interesting blackwork.
