Its a fashion gift, with a fashion story behind it, for the owner of Hearst. Hearst is a magazine company, based in New York City.

I made a collage on the cover of my cigarette pack, last Sunday, before my father arrived for a visit.
Canadian cigarette packs have horrible health warnings on them, with graphic ugly medical pictures. Some smokers like having a reusable slip cover with art on it, instead of looking at that shit!!!

My dad came to visit Sunday to work around my mom’s house, helping her sort through her piles of papers and bills. I made a collage in the morning, and was preparing for the visit. The house was abuzz! He brought his new dog too, Ruby, and I got to take her for a walk.

I added a ‘cat-tag’ (not DogTag) to my cat~tag~pearl~star bracelet. Its a 2nd one…. a 2nd tag. It has a paw print on it. On the back, the engraving reads; Royaume Uni. (refers to the term “Animal Kingdom”; translates from french ‘United Kingdom’)

 

 

 

I bought octagon-shaped crystals. That is what they are called, because of their edges. Also~ because of the odd shapes of the rectangles. They are not standard emerald cut; not even a variety of those. It goes to the specification “octagon”. I chose them because of their very odd colors, too! The two~tone is extremely rare. ***They are magnificent, and very big!!!!**** (Psst… where’s your Latin?)

 

 

 

I made Ké a bracelet by adding length, and a gem, to a very beautiful one that I bought that was too small. I have the same problem…. everything made for women is generally 5 sizes too small for me!

 

 

 

I actually bought these… I love them so much. They are like diamonds that are stars or snowflakes. They are oversize tennis bracelets. They are well over a catch-23 each. Some shy friends & art patrons left them at a store for me to purchase. This is not only for the art I gave them or showed them, but because I am a kind friend that checks in on them.

 

This was Fils when he was a hunted, growling.. tiger!.

 

 

***A “catch-23″ is a jeweler’s term, that I learned from being in the industry. It is a different version of the expression “catch-22″. (That one means its a tricky situation.) A catch-23 is a jewelry client that owns 23 pieces of jewelry that equivocate a perfect 1-carat diamond.***

I had a nice Valentine’s Day dinner & drew a card. I feel I officially have another place where I can be “artist in residence”, now. This makes me very happy… & proud!! I also am really proud of… MY DRAWING!

This card began with a drawing of the bracelet I was wearing; it is made of metal and has flowers, and a hinge to close it. I thought the bracelet, drawn in black only, looked good sitting on the middle of the card, but then changed my mind, and drew more elements into the design. There is a butterfly, a heart, hearts with dripping water, a star, a cloud, rays of light, the Taurus symbol, a moon, blades of grass, a chrysanthemum, and a ribbon. The elements all come together, even though they are apart, as a black design piece. The theme was love, Valentine’s Day, feelings, & the cosmos. There are words in the design. Also, like my mandala circles from the day before, a big part of the theme was plants, gardens, & how things grow.

Art cards weekend…
I actually went out three nights this weekend… Thursday was Valentine’s Day, and then it carried over to Friday and Saturday. Here, this is Sunday ^^ and I am publishing the art I made all weekend.
I don’t normally go out three nights on the weekend! Its lucky if its one… maybe because I decide I’d rather stay in and cook for my family, or had enough of my long wolf daytimes, and need the rest… (instead of trolloping all over town), or maybe its the nights I decide to catch a sports event! Even then I get restless… I haven’t really been folowing the NHL hockey, and apparently I’ve been in the mood to go tramping!! Spring is hopefully a month away,,,, I’ve had enough of the winter weather, and I hope it gets mild, and the snow melts…

I met Vice President Joe Biden Today…

We’re in talks!

(Just kidding.)

I really did meet him, though! He proudly told me that he is a Democrat, and going to run for President! He was VP with Barack Obama, a Democrat, and Trump is a Republican. (I said that I thought Trump was a bit of a lefty Republican, tee-hee.) That means that if Biden is the leader of the Democratic party (this is all US, by the way), he can run against Trump after his first 4-year term. The Presidents of the United States are allowed to serve two four-year terms. Since Donald Trump is President, he can automatically run again, as a Republican, if he chooses to do so!

Vice President Joe Biden was a very kind guy, and I helped him a bit with his shopping… after saying hello, and introducing myself! I even gave him one of my art postcards, plus a business card for my website and cell number. What a fun thing! No issues there!!!!

The cards I gave Mr. Biden are in the photos below. The postcard is new, and I had not published it previously. There are no words on it. It has a front/back design. It shows two of my marker drawings! But since its part of a series of printed postcard-Artcards, it is not the same as giving away the original marker drawings. Its still very precious, though, and I did not want to even publish it!

It shows a cute Polar Bear with Northern Lights, & the North Star, on one side, & on the other side, there is a Snow Leopard on snow (or ice) with a puffy pink heart.

Cero made me a Valentine’s Heart Box filled with praline chocolates~
In all honestly,when I found them for 20$ at the store, I thought more of how I needed the box for my art project than the chocolates themselves!~
(I’m full of bright ideas)
I couldn’t eat the pounds of praline moush caramel chew nougat chocolate… lol… so I gave them away in a big Ziploc baggie at the Italian Grocery-Deli I go to! (Cavalero, in Kirkland… its good!) (Sorry, Cero)

Marker~Art
Here are my two new Marker Drawings… in all the different photographs I took of them!

 

 

 

There is something special in these two drawings… when I was writing letters, about environmental issues, to companies, corporations, or government officials, I had a special stationary set I had used for some of them.
This was a long time ago.
It was a set of cards and envelopes, with color pencil drawings on the cards, that looked like the jungle, with all kinds of leaves and shading.

I made a delicious cake… and it looks great too!
Its a cherry chip cake; a ring cake~ with chocolate fudge icing, maraschino cherries, pieces of semi-sweet & white chocolate, & also with red ice candy sprinkles!!!!

 

 

This cake was too good to pass up… I have been neglecting posting my cooking!!!! I thought I should make sure that this cake got online, there hasn’t been any food photos for eons! I had stayed home that evening, lol… behaving! Between doing the cooking, and all my other work, my audience has missed a hell of a lot of beautiful cooking pictures!! Its too much! It would go to extra photographing, webwork designing, html coding… just not humanly possible!

I invested in three bouquets of roses, to make more Rose~PhotoArt. I took 201 photos! I did two photo shoots~ one was Monday, one was Tuesday.
The roses are in three separate bouquets. The two bouquets that have red & white wedding roses I placed in the same vase. The other little bouquet has beautiful peachy~pink blooms with white ones. The petals are different. They are different shapes, compared to the rosettes of the red and white bouquets. Also, I call it little because it’s a small, set, bunch of roses that don’t have the long stems; if a man buys roses for a woman, he traditionally gets what’s called a bouquet of long-stem roses. A dozen!

For Christmas I received some very special notebooks… some new artist took to the pencil~art… they are so wonderful! Similar to mine, but nah-ah, unique, and gifted at the first try…

Did you know that men can do anything? They just decide to apply themselves, and its like its miraculous. I think this must be like army culture, or amry “lore”… they decide to sit down and make something! Or maybe its a once in a lifetime gift to their wives… or even the one that is going to end up being their future wife!

I was out for dinner at the bar at La Famiglia & Co. last night. I made artcards, & took my photos~

 

I made two cards, with just the black marker pen on white card-stock.

 

I drew the word Jinx, in calligraphy, in a style like a medieval illumination. (Thats old books!) I drew in a lot of forms. The blackwork. The J is like a Scottish family crest. A flag. My feather earring & the dress I wore are in the drawing. This piece took a long time.

 

I also drew a very quick sketch- the second card. Its a palm tree & the beach, with high tide & wild waves, in a gale.

After “some” gallivanting, I made another quick drawing, when I got in for the night.

When I was a kid, I had a homemade elephant stuffed toy. He was pretty crude~ some might say ugly, even beady-eyed. Nevertheless, I liked my elephant, I named him thi ridiculous fancy made-up name. Thesopholus. I don’t know if perhaps he was a philosopher, because elephants are wise guys with a long memory, or maybe he was snuffalufugus like Sesame Street, or perhaps I got creative on spelling, like the “PH” in the word elephant. Okay, it was all of the above. My sketch really looks like him too!

New rose photos from today… Monday, March 11th, 2019

 

 

There are nice things to describe about this purple~rose photoset.
The theme is purple. This is from the purple paper that wraps the bouquet, plus the special tipped roses. The other one (its a bouquet of three) is a very deep shade of red. I took these photographs in low light. It was dark even. I had to plan my shots very carefully & use my boxer~lady body to hold perfectly still as I snapped away. I made a setting for my photos. Then I changed it half way thru. So there are two settings. There are over one hundred photographs!
There is a ring in the photos. It gets moved around, then even hidden in the bouquet. Its not hidden, but its hard to spot. The ring is from Nin. Its very big; & its an aquamarine. Its a very striking shade of deep, turquoise green. Maybe you could call it Viridian Green, like the name of one of the green paints that I use when I make my landscapes. It glows in the low light…
There is the bouquet, one of my fancy dresses, (it has a grass pattern), Fils + Jaq’s cat~colorful cat bed, Nin’s ring~ then after, things get moved around and there are more fabrics, and another ring. The second ring is one of my signature~rings. I wear it often. Its part of my signature style.

“Keynu” “Baby Danté” & Song

These are photos of one of my favorite singers, with whom I have had a life-long appreciation~ David Usher. David had music on his own, and as lead, in the alternative band Moist.

I posted a Youtube song here too, to go with the post, but since I wanted the first track on the album, I decided to post the whole CD. This is sharing. I had this CD, and I am sharing it with you!

With this photo gallery, I tell a story of similitude. Its about artists that are cross-discipline, look-alike, or who’s work and plight are similar. Imagine the photographs of David Usher as a fairy teenager from the mid 1500′s named Danté. Danté lived in Renaissance Florence, in Italy, and would paint, build, tell stories, write~ and he was always asked for more. Try to imagine the photos thru the lens of history, when photography did not even exist. For that sprite, it was never enough! Anything more is always wanted, and is always good. My artistic life-journey, and the work I do (all kinds of work), led me to success! A painter that is world-renowned, in this future time where art competes with a light screen… and all kinds of print media… I earned the appreciation I wanted, and even my ideology, my agenda, got adopted into what I believe favors a better world.

Earth Altar & Chakra Bible

This is a nice book I own. It is a picture book that has a lot of useful information in it about alternate ways of healing, thinking, tuning into your inner harmony, meditating… The pages I chose to photograph are about making a natural setting in your home or workspace, to keep you inspired, keep you calm, and keep you grounded. You can read the article, and see the art picture from the book, in my photos. They call it an earth altar. I used to have an “earth altar” in my art studio. It was beside where I would make my paintings. It was beside my easel. It was in the alcove of the window. It had houseplants, shells, art postcards, a pinecone, and other nice things. If you visit the AGO in Toronto (its a very good Canadian art museum), they have an earth altar in one of the galleries. There is a sign that explains that the artist had natural things around his studio. I guess they’re all reday for me to arrive, set up my easel, and paint!

 

 

 

Cero’s Iris Catya Bracelet

I made Cero a bracelet with beads. The blue and green cat’s eye beads symbolize the color of my eyes. Also, my nickname, Katya. There are shell pieces; they have stripes, like from the waves of the sea, and one of them has a patch of deep blue stain on it. The patterns on the shells say his name too; Cero, Cerulean, Cobalt… My eyes are green, but bluish… ocean eyes! ‘Jade-blue-sapphir’

This is a little funny habit I have, from previous artworks, and a life-long habit, and previous jokes… of making capricious little drawings, just with a black marker, especially of food things. (Because that’s the ones my friends find the funniest, for now.) There’s like a sandwich, an iceburg lettuce, fries, I dunno… some bananas…

The hummingbird with flowers was a self-portrait, and I drew that at Ristorante La Famiglia. (Last week.) The hummingbird has a skirt! I drew that little bird as myself, mamacita~Alicia. My bird~self is hanging out with some exotics tropical leaves and flowers.

Next, still at Ristorante, came a rose, a bud one, with odd lines, and odd shading, and even “religious rays”. There are mountains in the rose, and a chevron. There’s also a shiny bubble heart that has the North Star in it, cradling the rose.

The 3rd little card in the series is a shoulder tat I designed for Frédéric. He’s my imaginary friend. (Later I designed a second shoulder tat, for my other guy; my imaginary relationship uomo-Homme-man.) The tat (either or) is supposed to fit on the round part of the shoulder, in a beauitufl way, with special meanings in the designs.

Tip: If you are getting a tattoo, have someone you know and love help you decide, and rely, if only partly, at least, on the artistic opinion of a separate and good artist.

Svetlana says: Этот художник построил музей Эрмитаж. Каменная кладка; экстерьер и интерьер. Он также делал картины для своего кабинета в музее, которые до сих пор видны только ему. Он не русского происхождения, но высоко ценит Санкт-Петербург. Он также сделал 6 штук, которые представляют собой картины на кожаном пергаменте. Четыре – сумки для женщин, другой – ремешок для часов, а последний – кожаный ремешок с цветами, изображенный на этих фотографиях. Я, Катя, нарисовала некоторые цветы прямо на моей черно-белой художественной открытке, потому что кошелек был новым. Но карта, очевидно, была моей.
