Introduction

Because of their magical qualities, Hummingbird feathers have long been used for the making of love charms. You know instinctively where beauty abides and, near or far, you journey to your ideal. You move comfortably within a beautiful environment and help others to taste the succulent nectar of life.

If Hummingbird has flown into your life today, get ready to laugh and enjoy the Creator’s many gifts. Drop your judgmental attitudes and relax. Hummingbird will no doubt give you a flash of the spirit, darting here, there, and everywhere. Get ready for a strange new burst of energy which may send your senses reeling.

Hummingbird hears celestial music and is in harmony with it. Hummingbird may invite you to an art museum or a concert. Follow Hummingbird and you will soon be filled with joy and experience a renewal of the magic of living!

Contrary:

If contrary Hummingbird is in your cards in any configuration, it speaks to you of matters of the heart. How or why has your heart center closed? Have you done something callus to others causing them to shut off the love they once felt for you? The contrary Hummingbird may presage sorrow and the inability to see the many blessings we have been given and the beauty that surrounds us. If contrary Hummingbird sings its forlorn song, perhaps you should journey into your personal pain and know that your sorrow is your joy in another reflection.

I spent the summer making my art; drawings, paintings, and lots of photos outside while exploring the area. Something happened, in late spring or early summer, that started my bond with nature spirits and the ‘new animals’. With a little encouragement, this book idea was brought forth as a way to tell the legends of the animals that I met this summer. My beautiful original totem drawings accompany the stories. Jamie Sams finished her excellent book with the last legend being that of hummingbird….well, nature has returned, as you will see in my stories.

 

 

1-The Water Dragons

The first thing I noticed out of the ordinary this summer was a congregation of seagulls at Stewart Hall. They were all flying over the shallow water, diving, as if there was something there. The first thing I thought, while watching this, was that there must be ike a “koi pond”, like lots of fish feeding on something that the birds were after, and the birds seemed to be landing on all the fish too. But that wasn’t what it was. The next day when I drove on the lakeshore toward Lachine I saw a strange fish in the water, playing and hiding in the waves, near the fishermen that were there in a small boat, as if he was teasing them. This is how I started seeing the water dragons, and came to understand what they were.

I was at L’anse à l’orme when I felt an irritating picking on my body. I tried to brush off a bug but there was nothing there. This repeated a few times. I went in the water, and there it was, floating and dead, the horse fly that had bit me. It drowned when I got in the water, so then it reappeared.

Volume 1 of our Spider-Man Graphic Novel (Marvel!) is in preparation and almost ready…Original comic book, hardcover. like over an inch thick, original art by Dalton James, and Alicia’s original spider-man cards and text “comic strips” come with it in baggies to insert like a puzzle as you read the story, in your white gloves of course. Starting bid for offers for Volume 1: 75,000,000$

UPDATE: February 14th, 2015.

The 2 volumes will have to be sold as a set, are almost ready, and include more bonuses; the “rebuts” from the cutting and printing of the text ‘comic strips’, if you like puzzles, all 39 cards, including 2 printed collage cards, (all original marker art on cards), and an envelope with printed letters from spidey and printed copies of marker drawings I (Alicia) made by his side on 8 1/2 x 11 sheets. Offer high if you want the kit. I call this work of art “a living book”.

UPDATE, August 18th 2015: “Got OUTLINE?”

Posted on the 2nd half-2015 page, this was an inside tip about a highschool course that I wrote the outline for, that should be mandatory in the US and Canada. The course is called ‘Money Management for Life’, and would teach people how to handle their finances and live within their means. In my opinion, a course like this would clear out a lot of debt problems, by teaching life skills that people do not know, right at the age when teens need to start being responsible for their money. Right now the Outline is several pages handwritten in my notebooks; notebooks where I was teaching my friends other things they missed in school.

UPDATE, February 22nd 2019: This book is still just a draft; ready only in note form. I don’t think the project is going anywhere else anyways at this point! It lies in waiting, lol… perhaps one day!!!!

My candy story. March 4th-5th 2017

A boy introduced himself to a girl sitting on a park bench one day. It was near a path, with calming nature around. He had seen her sitting there one too many times! She always looked peaceful – pretty- and relaxed. It was one of her favorite spots to just sit and be peaceful outside, and take a break.

He said: “Hi. I see you sitting here a lot. Mind if I sit?” She said, “I don’t mind, my name is Ronnie.”

They chatted a bit, then Ronnie decided that she “had better be going”, and that was that.

On her way home she went to the store for a couple things, and found this pretty box of candy (in a tin like in the photo), and decided to buy it. She had money from her work, and was a disciplined person, so the “splurge” was okay.

She kept going back to her pretty relaxing place, her bench, and over the days, eventually Ronnie (boy Ronnie), would come sit. At first the conversation was slow, but he started talking to Ronnie a lot about all kinds of things. She got in the habit of popping one of her candies, from her tin, because they last long, to listen to what he had to say carefully, reminding herself to be patient, and then when her candy was done, she’d have found the right thing to say. She thought the guy was kind, but seemed to have a lot to say about his life, that she thought that maybe he didn’t really talk about to other people.

Candy-lady started realizing that Ronnie’s stories were getting sillier, and that she thinks he’s pretty nice. The talking was nice and fun. She liked that he always came to visit her in the park. “Hmmm…”

Finally one day after what seemed like a long time, Ronnie realized that her candy tin was empty, and she was on her last one! She decided to offer it to her friend. She said: “Look, its my last candy. I bought these the day we had first met. Do you want the last one” Ronnie took it. “now I’m going to say something to you, okay? We have been sitting here many times, and I listen to what you have to say, eating my candies. We must have spent a lot of time together, because the tin is empty now! I think a lot about what you say. It must be hard being a man. You always have to keep a strong face. I think our friendship, our amitié, has been very nice, and maybe you needed a nice friend, a girl friend, to talk to. Its been very nice and fun for me too.”

Ronnie cracked his candy. “hey, you’re not supposed to crack them!” “haha, I’m sorry.”

“Let me finish my thought-”

“No, you don’t have too. I want to spend more time with you. A lot. I care about you a lot. You are the nicest, sweetest, funniest, and prettiest, girl I know.”

“I just had to sit and talk to you, because I had seen you there! You looked very special to my heart.”

He takes her hand. It was sweet, but “scary-nervewracking”, because they never held hands before.

He said “Wait..”

He left, and came back a couple minutes after with something very special, as nice as her candy tin, but thought out, and from him.

Book by Alicia Surveyer: Origami. April 11th 2017

Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. (Like paper airplanes, taken to a further creative extreme.) You can make wonderful things. One of the most famous is of a bird called a crane – yes, made by folding paper.

This book is by me, Alicia Surveyer, and I had to dig up some Japanese culture and tradition for it. Sorry to say, but this book is only available to buy- thru me, directly.

 

 

 

 

Special Puzzle Box. (Homemade Kit.) september 5th 2018

My Comment: I will say, that, when I made the Spider-Man comic book kit, I thought that it was a ‘sure thing” for money. For a sale. Then, when I designed my own Canada Post stamps, with Jacqueline Queen of England on them, & Abstract Landscapes, & Marker Art, & such things, etcetera, … I thought that was another sure bet; to the point that I didn’t even publish photographs of them. Even at 50 million. To buy. september 5th 2018
UPDATE, February 22nd 2019: The price of my art has exponentiated… no more comic-book card sets or stamp sheets at 50 million, let me tell you!!!

For Christmas I received some very special notebooks… some new artist took to the pencil~art… they are so wonderful! Similar to mine, but nah-ah, unique, and gifted at the first try…

Did you know that men can do anything? They just decide to apply themselves, and its like its miraculous. I think this must be like army culture, or army “lore”… they decide to sit down and make something! Or maybe its a once in a lifetime gift to their wives… or even the one that is going to end up being their future wife!

That’s 8 drawings, the ruled sheets of paper, the binding, and even the bar code area on the notebooks is all drawn in by hand~
He invented his Chinese symbols, too~
